Since moving to Los Angeles in March of 2010, Joe Hubbard’s career has been on a steady upward path. While networking and taking on various freelance editing gigs, Hubbard exchanged emails with Academy Award nominated editor Matt Chessé. After a favorable first meeting, Chessé asked Hubbard to assist him in editing Bunker 77, a feature length documentary about Bunker Spreckles, Clark Gable’s step-son.

Chessé then recommended Hubbard to The Ant Farm, a top-tier motion picture and video game advertising company, and Hubbard was hired as a runner. Editing for the Ant Farm during his off hours, Hubbard made such an impression that after only four months, he was promoted to editor – a promotion that was more than a year faster than any production assistant in the history of the company.

Hubbard has worked on theatrical campaigns such as Transformers 3: Dark Of The Moon, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, Moneyball, and Super 8. His gaming campaigns include Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Call Of Duty: Black Ops, Rage, and Driver: San Francisco.

In June of 2011, Hubbard was hired by Academy Award nominated actor Don Cheadle, to consult and edit a Dixon Golf commercial that was written and produced by Cheadle. In October of 2011, Hubbard created the official launch trailer for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, a video game that went on to make $775 million in just five days, setting a record for the highest five day total for an entertainment franchise. The trailer amassed more than 5 million You Tube hits in its first week.

Hubbard continues to fine-tune his skills as an editor through his work on high profile campaigns, and is always excited about future prospects.
